Desiree
Certified Veterinary Technician, Hospital Administrator
Desiree has been working at Hillcrest since March 2016. She has been in the veterinary profession for 20+ years. Desiree has a background in general practice, emergency, oncology, and internal medicine. Desiree and her husband Cory live in New Richmond with their daughter, and son.
When Desiree is not working, she enjoys a good cup of coffee, photography, many outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, snowshoeing, spending time on the water, and hanging out with family and friends.
Jenny
Assistant Hospital Administrator
Jenny Grew up in New Richmond, Wi. She has 3 children, two daughters-in-law; and a beautiful granddaughter. She lives in Hudson with Finnley (a golden retriever), Foster (a boxer) and Pearl (a boxer). Jenny has an Associate Degree in Business Administration from WITC – New Richmond; and has 30+ years’ experience providing customer service and business management which includes 15 years specifically in the veterinary industry.
Jenny joined our team in April of 2025 and feels very fortunate to be a part of Hillcrest’s veterinary team. She is excited to continue growing her business expertise while remaining in the veterinary field; where she has found great happiness in the care of animals.
In her free time, she enjoys every moment with her granddaughter (and children of course), reading, gardening, downhill skiing, camping and just about any other outdoor activity.
Amber L.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Amber grew up on a small family dairy farm in Colfax, WI. Amber attended and graduated from Argosy University in 2015 with a degree in Veterinary Technology, and later became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2016. Her favorite part of being a CVT is just being able to surround herself with animals and helping them achieve healthy, happy lives. “No day is ever the same in veterinary medicine! There is always something new to learn and see!” Now, she calls River Falls home where she lives with her fiancé, son, 2 sassy calico cats Jessi and Cleo, and retriever mix Millie.
When she is not at work, you will find her enjoying a good book, going to the movies with her son, or just hanging out at home spending time with her family and animals.

Taylor
Certified Veterinary Technician
Taylor joined Hillcrest in January 2024, while she was finishing up her vet tech program at Northwoods Tech. College in New Richmond. Taylor graduated from the program in the Fall of 2024, and most recently took the VTNE (standard licensing exam). She is now our newest CVT! Her favorite aspect of working in the veterinary field is working with the animals.
Taylor is originally from the New Richmond area and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, family and hiking with her black lab Koda.
Amber O.
Veterinary Technician
Amber is one of our vet techs. She grew up in South Dakota and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Globe University in Sioux Falls, SD in 2010. She recently moved to Hudson with her husband Geoff and their 3 cats, Amity, Chester, and Norman Lloyd. When she is not working, she likes to relax at home by watching Netflix, snuggled up with her kitties.
Lexi
Veterinary Assistant
Lexi is from Woodbury, MN. She graduated in the spring of 2022 from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus. She graduated with a bachelors in Animal Science. After graduation she hopes to get into vet school. She wants to one day own her own large animal veterinary practice. In her free time Lexi enjoys figure skating, watching Gopher Men’s hockey and football, riding her horse named Kid, and playing with her pups Stella and Nino.
Ashton
Veterinary Assistant
Ashton grew up on a small hobby farm in Osceola, WI. Her hobby farm consisted of llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, and cats. She graduated UWRF with a degree in animal science and an emphasis on companion animals. While she was enrolled at UWRF she worked with a program called PawPADS (Pawsitive Perspective Assistance Dogs), and helped train service dogs for those in need. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her pups Riley and Tucker, and baking.
Else
Veterinary Assistant
Else (Elsa) is originally from Cottage Grove, MN and decided to make the leap over to WI. She just finished up with her undergrad at UWRF and has started the CVT program through Dakota County Tech. Eventually she wants to own her own little hobby farm! Else has a lab/springer mix named Callie, and a lab named Daisy. In her free time Else likes going to her cabin in northern MN, hiking, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her family and friends.

Abby
Veterinary Assistant
Abby joined our Hillcrest team at the beginning of 2025. Originally from Rosemount, MN, she is currently studying to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) through Penn Foster Online College. She recently moved to Stillwater with her fiancé and their three cats—Alro, June, and Amelia—and they’re excited to be welcoming a new puppy to the family in September.
In her free time, Abby enjoys traveling, relaxing at the cabin, and lounging by the pool with friends and family.

Bella
Veterinary Assistant
Bella is currently enrolled in Northwood Tech Colleges CVT (certified veterinary technician) program and anticipates to graduate Spring of 2025. Bella is from just up the road in Baldwin. When she is not juggling work and school, Bella enjoys reading, cleaning, and spending time with her horse Charlie.

Kennel / Veterinary Assistant
Ashley is originally from Peshtigo, WI. She is currently a freshman at UW- River Falls in the Dairy Science/Pre-Veterinary program. Her goal once she graduates is to become a large animal veterinarian. Back home she has 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 guinea pig. In her free time she likes to spend time with her pets, family, and friends. She also loves being outdoors.
Anna
Kennel Assistant
Anna is originally from Oak Creek, WI but is currently enrolled at UWRF in their pre-vet program. After graduating she hopes to attend vet school. Her most favorite part about vet med is that she “loves seeing sick pets walk in, get the help and care they need, and walk out feeling better than they did before!” In her free time between work and school, she enjoys hiking, fishing, sports, reading and hanging out with her GSP named Dakota.
Ava
Kennel Assistant
Ava is currently enrolled at UWRF in their pre-vet program and hopes to attend vet school upon graduation. Her favorite part about being in vet med is all the cute animals and getting to help them get the care they need! Ava is a local girl also from the New Richmond, WI area. In her free time between balancing work and school she enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking and hanging out with her Chiweenie Suki, Chihuahua Maggie, and her cat C.C.
Jon’a
Customer Service Representative
Jon’a is one of our amazing receptionists here at Hillcrest. She currently resides in Hudson, WI with her husband. Adding to Jona’s family are her three children, two loving dogs, and her cat. When she’s not at work being the first face you see at the front desk, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Melanie
Customer Service Representative
Melanie started working in the vet industry in 2019 and came to Hillcrest in September of 2021. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with an English degree but knew she wanted to work with animals. She lives in River Falls with her husband, Matt, and their Siamese mix, Snow. She spends as much time as she can traveling and likes to read and watch TV during her free time.
Tommy
Clinic Cat
Tommy is our resident clinic cat that came to us a few years ago with a broken leg when he was just a kitten. The owner was unable to care for the broken leg so we took him in and have loved him ever since. Tommy will do anything for food and sometimes it gets him into trouble! He is extremely photogenic and always keeps us on our toes. In his spare time, he loves to nap, eat, play in any box you put on the floor, and comfort hospitalized patients in their time of need. We celebrate Tommy every Tuesday on our Facebook and Instagram. Tune in to see what kind of mischief he gets into every week!
