To our Hillcrest Animal Hospital Family,
As a valued client, the health and well-being of your pet are very important to us, as well as our colleagues and our community as a whole.
We want to inform you of the actions we are taking in response to concerns about COVID-19. We recommend the following protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines for social distancing to help ensure a safe and healthy environment for our clients, their pets, and our hospital staff.
- Please continue to utilize our car side service for drop off and pick up for scheduled appointments. Call 715.386.1234 when you arrive in the parking lot and we will come to you to get your pet for the exam. We will continue to communicate via phone regarding treatment and/or results.
- For end of life appointments, we will escort you and your loved one directly into the exam room.
- Emergencies will be assessed immediately upon arrival. Please call ahead, if at all possible, so we know to expect you.
- We encourage you to use our online pharmacy for home delivery – see the Shop Online button on our website. Food and prescriptions for your pet can be shipped directly to your home
Effective immediately, we ask that if you have any symptoms of illness, and your pet is ill and in need of medical care, that you contact and inform us of your specific situation, so we can work with you to arrange accommodations. In the event your pet needs to come to the hospital, and you or someone in your home is ill, we ask that you arrange transport of your pet with a friend or alternate family member if possible. In addition, we ask that you inform us that your pet may have been exposed to a person showing symptoms. This is for the protection of the Hillcrest staff working at the clinic.
It is important to note that at this time COVID-19 is not believed to be transmissible to our pets. However, it may be possible for the virus to be present on pets, carriers, leashes, etc. As such, please do not be offended when our staff uses personal protective equipment to lessen the risk to their own health.
Please know that we are doing everything that we can on our end to keep not only you safe, but also the staff, so that we may continue to serve you and your pets. New disinfecting and cleaning protocols have been established. We have made hand sanitizer readily available and ensuring staff members are following the best practices outlined by the CDC. Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve posted signs on our doors asking clients who may be ill to not enter the facility.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new and fluid situation. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at 715.386.1234 with any questions or concerns.
